Is it everything I’d hoped? Find out in this review of Monopoly Millionaire Deal.
Want to play a quick card game with your friends and family? Are you looking for a simple, fun game to include in family game night? Whether you’re wondering if Monopoly Millionaire Deal is a good game for you, or trying to find a great idea for an inexpensive and great gift to get for a friend, family member or coworker, read on to find out what you want to know about this simple and fun card game.
What is this “Monopoly Millionaire Deal” Card Game?
Monopoly Deal came out a couple of years ago. The premise is simple: You play cards from your hand that count as your property and money, as well as action cards that do lots of different things. You do what you can to put together three complete sets of properties, and the first to accomplish that goal is the winner.
For the updated “Monopoly Millionaire Deal,” they updated the game with some new card designs, and a different strategy than the original Monopoly Deal. Instead of having the goal be to complete your monopolies, you have to actually USE those properties! You aren’t done in Millionaire Deal until you’ve amassed a fortune worth 1 Million!
Is Monopoly Millionaire Deal fun?
Especially with more than two people. It’s good with two, but even better with three.
The action is fast. You play your properties out of your hand, and once they’re in play you can collect rent on them.
But you don’t collect rent on them arbitrarily, you play action cards out of your hand that allow you to collect rent on a property group (one color, part of a set).
The cards are powerful and fun.
It’s a blast to wait until your opponent puts together a high value set of properties before you steal the entire property set from them! But what’s even MORE fun is when your opponent thinks are going to win the game, but you play a card that ruins their plan!
Is Monopoly Millionaire Deal easy?
Really easy. There are only a few rules that you need to know to play the game. You start your turn by drawing 2 cards (unless you’re out of cards, then you draw 5). Then you can play up to three cards.
The cards are either Property cards, Action cards, or Money cards. The properties are just like monopoly properties, except they don’t cost you any money to play them. Just play them as one of your three cards and they’re yours. Money cards go right into your bank pile, and it’s used to pay rent, and also to win the game. Action cards do everything else, from collecting rent to forcing lousy trades upon your opponents, stealing properties and even taking extra cards and turns.
My favorite card, by the way, is “Just Say No”, which I can play on another players’ turn to render an action card they just played useless! I think it’s the most fun I can have when I’m not winning.

It’s a great deal. You don’t need a lot of people, and you can have a blast with only two people.
It’s not expensive, and it doesn’t take much time. You can play it during lunches, or anytime you’ve only got a few minutes.
It’s doesn’t take much space, either. You’d have plenty of room to play it on a bed in a hotel room, or on a coffee table, or even a couch.
My recommendation is to get a couple of sets, one for you and an extra for a friend or coworker. You’ll have a lot of fun playing it, unless you’re playing against me – then you’d better watch out for my “Just say no” denials when you least expect it!
